The Institute offers Bachelor of Science BSc and Master of Science (MSc) degrees in Hospitality Management. The Bachelor of Science BSc Study program is designed to produce well rounded individuals and excellent Leadersby requiring Learners to build a strong academic foundation in business administration as well as the arts and sciences. Along with the required courses in hospitality management, Learners may use their electives to create concentrations in any one of the following ten places of study: Hospitality and Resort management, Timeshare Management, Casino Hospitality Operations, Managed Services, Business, Meeting Planning, Special Events, Private Clubs, Culinary Management and Healthcare Foodservice Management.

Hospitality management education at Widener reaches far beyond the room. Widener understands that practical knowledge is a valuable part of developing professional knowledge, business sense, and human relations skills. Each Learner is, therefore, required to complete 1400 hours of paid industry knowledge prior to graduation. This knowledge consists of two 400 hour summer on-the-job trainings and a 600 hour cooperative education semester. During the cooperative education semester, Learners combine paid work knowledge of 37 to 40 hours per week with a one day on-institutional building Leadership development seminar. This combination of excellent academic preparation along with a strong work knowledge component prepares Widener graduates for rewarding management careers as well as the ability to succeed in higher degrees Institute.

The Widener Master of Science (MSc) in Hospitality Management offers a choice of three places of specialization, Marketing, Human Resource Management, or Hospitality Management. The program is designed to prepare Learners for career advancement in the places of their specialization. Learners considering future doctoral work will find that the thesis option of the Study program will give them a solid foundation for continued study.
